As many of you know, hurricane Ike hit Galveston Island and Bolivar Peninsula early morning September 13. As crazy as it is my sister and dad decided to weather the storm. Galveston suffered massive damages which will take months, if not years to repair. Bolivar was not as lucky. As of this entry, Bolivar is still underwater. News crews and reporters cannot even get out to report on the extent of the damages. All that we know is Bolivar is gone, for now.
Thankfully, Kara is okay and is waiting out the storm and aftermath in Galveston.
We have not heard from my dad since 1:15am September 13. Rescues have continued throughout the day. Reports show many have been rescued, we have not lost hope. Please pray that my dad is okay and we will be reunited asap. We need all the thoughts and prayers we can get.
